Malaikovil was conceived and completed by Devakottai Shri Sivalingam Chettiar & Anandavalli Achi family. The temple kumbabishegam was performed by by Sivasri Pichai Gurukkal of Pillayarpatti fame, in the august presence of Nagarathar Palani Aruladiyar Sri.
